Blofeld says early on in this piece regarding commentary that “if there has been one or two maiden overs, then that gives you licence to comment” (on pidgeons or stuff).
That sums up very well why Blofeld was a key reason for me giving up on TMS. If several maiden overs means you should start talking about something other than the cricket, then you are a entertainer, not a cricket commentator.
