You just swung me with the comment ‘these games mean nothing anyway until there is a world test championship’.
I have seen the light
DennisCricket_ followthebounce I think it’ll work if you have a ball change at 50 or even 60 overs.. I’m all for it..
I don’t want day/night test cricket.. just cause you dig it dennis doesn’t mean everyone does.
Bad luck. It’s already here.
true man, but honestly do you want the stocko test match to disappear.. where 8 in 10 are day/night? there’s plenty of those fixtures in the shorter format. I tell you from a gabba going local, there’s nothing better than rocking up on the first morning of a test series to give it to the opposition. also too I love waking up in the morning if I have a day off to watch it, I hate twiddling my thumbs waiting for it start at the waca even.
The game won’t survive without change.
the change isn’t happening to better the game, it’s happening to help the hip pockets of those that run it. it’s shown when the country where it’s healthiest is the one pushing for the change.
Did you not watch that Adelaide test Cral?
Maybe because you use words like cowardice. Instead of reluctance.
it’s not about that one off test, that I agree was a decent test match, but which also really had just as much chance of being shit.. I just feel there’s enough day/night stuff in the other formats.. keep the tests the way they’ve always been is my opinion.
You should have a read what our minister of sport had to say, about an hour ago. Think you’ll find it interesting.
why worry about a little pink ball
You’re spot on Bruce. No better time than now to get on the bandwagon.
Australians have a “go for it” attitude and South Africans are a stodgy stubborn people.
This from a nation that perfected the art of bowling underarm when things got tight? How fucking arrogant.
Wait till our esteemed sports minister hears this…
