Can you believe that the Adelaide Strikers lost their final last night and were eliminated from the Big Bash?

They played so well in the group stage. In fact, they finished top of the table.
If this was a stupidly long EPL season that didn’t have a finals system, they would be champions.

Why are they not champions? I don’t care about your stupid finals system. Who uses knock out finals when you are down to the last four teams anyway?
None of the soccer World Cup, NBA, NFL, MLB, AFL, NRL, Davis Cup or Grand Slam tennis tournaments are credible counter arguments.
If you top the table no matter how long the season, they should just give you the Cup or plate or whatever you get in the Big Bash.

Ok. Adelaide got the right to host a final. Fifty thousand fans turned up. They got to play the team that finished 4th. Given there are only 8 teams in the Big Bash, finishing 4th is not an elite result.
Adelaide had everything in their favour. Jesus, even if it was rained out they would have won.
All Adelaide had to do was beat a team at home who was much worse than them.
They couldn’t

Something should be done. Adelaide should get another go at it. I know the Sixers won, but they shouldn’t go through as they didn’t finish first. What right do they have to upset the home team in a final with everything stacked against them.
This system is clearly stuffed. It’s more stuffed that batting Maxwell at number 3 in a Test match or England sacking Kevin Pietersen or India’s performances overseas.

Just put in teams who haven’t had a fair go. Bugger the table just make it Renegades v Thunder. Think of the children
