In the wake of the infinitely shareable ‘Lemonifesto‘, it is timely to review one of the commentary experiments for the Australian cricket season.
In September 2014, Channel Nine produced a short-lived positive buzz with their inclusion of Meg Lanning in the on-air team.
My first article commended their plans, with a follow up piece providing a favourable review of Lanning’s commentary debut.
I would be remiss if I didn’t complete the trilogy with the following description of how Channel Nine has developed Lanning’s commentary in recent months.

(Hi Brad McNamara)
bunch of chauvinists!
As long as Brayshaw is there, why would she want to go into the commentary box?
I don’t believe you.
Channel Nein and Brad McNamara didn’t spend anywhere near the amount of effort required to hit the full stop key that many times.
Kudos to Grandstand for having her on the radio so regularly. She did a fine job too. Probably helped by the Grandstand co-hosts not cat calling and ‘phwoaring’ at modelling pics instead of talking cricket.
